We serve fresh, delicious and nutritious food every day!
All of our beef and chicken on the bone and nacho meat is hormone- and antibiotic-free, bulk milk is organic, our three production kitchens cook the food from scratch, and every single school has a salad bar filled with fresh fruit and veggies every day. The BVSD food truck (Munchie Machine) serves high school students, meeting them with delicious food outside of the cafeteria.
Our priority on local procurement has led us to buy numerous tons of local produce from farmer partners: Cure Organic Farm, Ollin Farms, Isabelle Farm, Black Cat Farm, Ray Domenico Farms, Rocky Mountain Fresh, Bayberry Fresh, Jones Farms Organics, Kilt Farm and Fossil Creek Farms. We also support local producers: Moe’s Bagels, Colorado Tortilla Company, Tamales by La Casita, Boulder Natural Meats, Colorado Native Foods, Legacy Meats, Allegro Coffee & Spices, Food Forethought and Old Style Sausage Company.
BVSD is the first REAL (Responsible Epicurean and Agricultural Leadership) Certified school district in the country, a winner of 39 HUSSC awards, and the only public K-12 school district listed on the Good Food 100 Restaurant List. Learn more about what those recognitions mean here.
