Culinary Center groundbreaking

While school staff and students took time off over Winter Break, construction crews at the new Culinary Center were hard at work. The exterior walls and roof are in place and workers are constructing interior walls and installing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The Center will have larger freezers, coolers and dry storage, resulting in nearly 5,000 square feet of food storage in the new facility. All this food storage capacity will allow BVSD to increase the amount of food the district can purchase in bulk, thereby reducing costs. Read more...

The national waivers that have allowed us to offer free meals for all students is set to expire at the en

d of the 21-22 school year. Beginning in August 2022, breakfast and lunches will be charged to student meal accounts (for any students not receiving Free and Reduced Meals benefits). 

In mid-July, we will share information about completing the yearly Free and Reduced Meal Applications, and how to fund your child’s meal accounts using MyPaymentsPlus.  

 

Las exenciones de comidas gratuitas terminarán en junio de 2022

Las exenciones nacionales que nos han permitido ofrecer comidas gratuitas a todos los estudiantes están por expirar al final del año escolar 21-22. Comenzando en agosto de 2022, los desayunos y almuerzos serán cargados a las cuentas de comida de los estudiantes (para los estudiantes que no reciban los beneficios de las comidas gratuitas o a precio reducido).
