BVSD is thrilled at the passage of Proposition FF in November, which will provide free school meals to all Colorado school children beginning in the 2023-24 school year, through the Healthy School Meals for All Program. While details of the new program are still being developed, it’s important to note that until the program begins next school year, there is still a charge for school meals unless students qualify for reduced lunch prices.
How to Fund Your Student’s Meal Account
You can set up a payment account with MyPaymentsPlus.com to ensure that your student always has money for school lunch or breakfast. It’s fast and free to use. Visit the BVSD Meal Accounts webpage for more information and to set up your student’s account.
We recommend setting up auto-payment, so that if your child’s account falls below a certain set value, it will automatically add funds.
Important Note: If you had auto-payment established in past years, you will need to re-establish it this year within MyPaymentsPlus.
Apply for Free and Reduced Meals
We strongly encourage families to apply for the Free and Reduced Meal program to see if students in their households can qualify for free school meals based on income. More information and access to the application is available here: tinyurl.com/BVSDFRL. If you have questions or need help with your application, please contact Lola Campos-Herzfeld via email or phone at 720-561-5942.
