Throughout the year we host and attend community events where we provide hands-on food and Farm-to-School education programs that encourage students and their families to try new foods, discover seasonal, local foods and meet local producers. We look forward to seeing you at our annual events.
BVSD Day at the Boulder Farmers Market introduces students to the fresh harvest of our local farmers and provides them another opportunity to engage with and appreciate locally grown, delicious foods. We'll have samples, facepainting, trivia with prizes, and more!

Iron Chef Competitions offer our students the opportunity to demonstrate their culinary creativity and cook what they want to eat for school lunch.
Elementary Iron Chef will take place at A Taste of BVSD on October 19th. Our 11th Annual Middle School Iron Chef Competition will take place on March 18th at Casey Middle School. Please email Stephen Menyhart to receive event alerts and learn more about how to register your team.
A Taste of BVSD Food Festival offers parents, students and community members to sample our high-quality entrees and side dishes while celebrating local food and connecting students and their families with BVSD garden and farmer partners.

With more than 12,000 plants, you can take home your garden staples and try something new. Heirloom and greenhouse varieties, too. All plants were organically grown with help from BVSD staff, students and community members.
