Questions & Answers

Who will answer?

Stephen Menyhart is the Interim Director and a Registered Dietitian for the Boulder Valley School District Food Services Department. He has a BA in Inner City Studies from Northeastern Illinois University, and a BS in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University. Stephen is the lead for BVSD’s annual Iron Chef competitions, and is passionate about the expansion of food education programs for students and families throughout the district. He is also a proud BVSD parent, with two children at Creekside Elementary.

Yuri Sanow
Yuri Sanow, Chef/Production Kitchen Manager, rejoined the BVSD Food Services team as a District Manager and the Production Chef in 2017. A Culinary Institute of America graduate with more than 25 years of experience, Yuri started his career in school food in 2010 as a Sous Chef in one of BVSD’s production kitchens. After six years as the Executive Chef for Jefferson County Public Schools, he rejoined BVSD Food Services as Production Chef and District Manager. Yuri oversees BVSD’s central production kitchen. He is also responsible for new recipe development and menu creation.
